Prescription Exercise's purpose is to administer monitored exercise programs for individuals diagnosed with cardiac, pulmonary, or metabolic diseases. Our mission is to empower those diagnosed with the benefits of exercise to increase their quality of life.
Along with input from your physician, we design a comprehensive program that will meet your specific health and medical needs. Goals of this program are, but not limited to, increasing stamina, decreasing shortness of breath, enhancing muscular strength and endurance, reducing disease progression, and improving your quality of life!
We create a safe environment for anyone who needs to exercise but does not feel comfortable doing it on their own. You will be supervised during every exercise session in which we will monitor your blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation. We will continually update you, and your physicians, on the progress you are making in the program.
Daily sessions depending on your individualized protocol may include:
Cardio-respiratory exercise to increase stamina and decrease shortness of breath during ADL's
Strength training of major muscle groups aimed at improving muscular strength
